Little Success!

Nak kongsi sikit. Kejayaan hari ini. 

Misi kami starting from earlier this month is to start eating healthy and live a healthy life. So we changed our diets and also try to workout as much as possible. Him trying to get fit and me trying to gain weight. (Susah betul. Dah 3 tahun berat badan macam ni je walaupun melahap banyak. Maybe I should check in case thyroid ada masalah. I hope not) 

We started off with ditching the salt. I memang suka makan yang masin-masin ni tapi tak elok lah kan. So must cut down and introduce healthy food.

Husband pulak since dah rajin workout ni, immediately after confirm lapar gila since energy dah burn banyak kan. He requested Granola Bars. Ai mami. Tak pandai plak nak buat. Google punya google then dengan resipi yang kawan dia bagi, dapatlah buat yang simple je with minimal ingredients. Nak yang hebat boleh tapi kekacang agak mahal la jugak.

Anyways, ni resepi yang paling mudah. The measurements tu tak dapat nak cakap sebab ikut total kuantiti yang korang nak kan. 

Ingredients:
3-4 tablespoon of peanut butter (smooth)
3-4 tablespoon of honey (organic)
150 grams of raisins
200 grams of rolled oats (oat yang masih shape asal dia bukan yang hancur untuk buat minuman tu)

Instructions:
Campak je semua masuk dalam bowl then uli pakai spoon. Haha! Ganas pulak. 

But but but you can start slow. Kalau peanut butter tu melekit sangat, bolehlah cairkan sikit dulu dalam microwave/atas stove. Pastu baru tuang dalam bowl tadi. U need as much binding agents as possible (honey+peanut butter) tapi jangan banyak sangat sebab nanti too sweet. Raisins pun dah sangat sweet.

The consistency that you need to go for is just to the point where it will not crumble easily when you try to roll it into a ball.

Next, masukkan the mix tadi tu in a container of your choice. Flatten it with the back of your spoon. Thickness pulak will be of your preference. Jangan nipis sangat nanti crumble, jangan tebal sangat nanti overdose. (Kidding!) betul, nanti terlebih makan pulak. 

Once done, leave it in the freezer for about 24-hours. Bila dah siap tu potong kecik-kecik jadi macam bars.

Ni bila dah flatten kan dalam container. Notice that I lined it with ClingWrap supaya senang nak keluarkan nanti.

And this ladies and gentlemen, is the finished product. Bolehlah potong dan simpan untuk makan. Satu hari satu bar je tau untuk snacking. Boleh alaskan dengan greaseproof paper supaya bars yang dah dipotong tadi tak melekat antara satu sama lain.
